Fly-fishing
In our area the focus is on fly-fishing, although fishing from a boat and carp fishing are also quite common. Nevertheless, fly-fishing has primary importance. Fly-fishing can be defined as a sport, but to some it represents the meaning of life. The ancient Romans were familiar with fly fishing, but its active development began in the 15th century. From its beginnings to the present day fly fishing has experienced a lot of changes, particularly in equipment that is needed for fly-fishing and approach. Our area has excellent conditions for all types of fishing. In particular we are proud that we can enable and offer fly-fishing in the beautiful waters of Lake Bohinj, the Sava Bohinjka and Sava Dolinka rivers and the pearl among our waters – the Mostnica river.
Bohinj
The glacial Lake Bohinj is the largest Alpine lake in Slovenia, renowned for its pristine blue waters which reflect the surrounding spectacular landscape upon the surface of the water like a surreal mirror. Its maximum depth is around 40 meters, and there are two ways in which you can disturb the depths of the magical mirror: you can either enjoy fishing from the shore, or you can rent a boat and throw yourself at the mercy of the lake goddess. However, if you do not want to feel the wrath of this lake goddess, or should I say the Slovenian authorities, you must not fish from the picturesque bridges and you must not use live bait such as bone, shell worm of any form of fish.

Bled

Radovljica
Where the Sava Bohinjka and Sava Dolinka merges, is a birth place of the Sava river. Also known as Sava Radovljica (Radovljica is a nearby town) or the “Big Sava”. Proper challenge for every fly fisherman. More than 20km of wild and unspoiled fly fishing area waits for you. Large Hucho Salmon is also very present in this river. If you haven’t seen this place before we highly recommend to visit this place and enjoy fly fishing in this area.

Lipnica
The Lipnica Creek is the first right-bank tributary of the Sava River after the confluence of the Sava Bohinjka and the Sava Dolinka. It joins the Sava near the village of Ovsiše. The creek gathers its waters from the northeastern slopes of the Jelovica plateau, where three main tributaries flow into it.
